Intricate champagne that showcases youth vibrance and tension with the wisdom and complexity of the mature wines. Stewed fruit, brioche, roasted nuts that turn into a more citrus led palate with forest berries and an earthy, hazelnutty finish. Sublime!

ABOUT THE VINE & CELLAR
A very rare bottling of this extra-brut champagne that comes exclusively from the barrels where the reserve wines are stored, in a solera system reminiscent of the Sherry winemakers. The wines in use were sourced between 2005-2011. Unfiltered, rare and very unique.
ABOUT MAURICE GRUMIER
The Grumier family have been Champenois for many generations in Venteuil in the Marne Valley and since 1743 have been grape growers until two centuries later when they started bottling their own champagne. When Maurice took over the family vineyards he decided to focus into making it prosperous business and it was (and still is!) all about the quality of the fruit, therefore the wines. Fabien Grumier is now looking after the 8.5ha composed of over 50% of Pinot Meunier. The shift of the grower has lately been on the return of barrels in the cellar and lower dosage to exhibit the great work pursued in the vineyards and lower sugar means more refreshing and detailed Champagne in the glass.
