ABOUT THE VINE & CELLAR
Everything is meticulously monitored however nature is still the greater component of their success: limestone soils, low yields, green harvest, handpicking, native yeasts. All in order to intensify and lace together the terroir and grape DNA. The wine matures in stainless steel and some undergo lees contact to give it some extra texture.
ABOUT VINCENT PINARD
Pinard produces some of our favourite Sancerre wines (white and red). It's now the two Pinard brothers Clément & Florent that look after the estate that's been in their family for over 500 years. Ridiculously low yields, hand harvest and modern winery add to the unique complexity of the steep chalk and limestones slopes which produces a range of wine from pure and steely to finely oaked Sauvignon Blancs. They own 15ha of which 3.5 are allocated to the production of Pinot Noir. Apart from the Florès & Clémence cuvée, all of their whites are fermented and raised in old barrels to give more dimension to the wines and let them express their terroirs better!
