Refund policy

Dear customers,

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To start a return, you can contact us at customerservice@thefrench-market.com

To be eligible for a return, you must first request a return to us via email and your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, uncorked or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging (Exception for faulty wine see article below). You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

The customer is responsible for return shipping, insurance and delivery confirmation fees. Shipping charges are not refundable.

REFUNDS

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

EXCHANGES

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

DAMAGES AND ISSUES

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Please take pictures if you have any doubt or see anything that looks suspicious.

FAULTY / CORKED BOTTLES

We will provide a refund for any wines that are faulty. Please contact us at customerservice@thefrench-market.com to start a return. We require faulty bottles to be returned to us. We will then let you know if your return was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.

The customer is responsible for return shipping, insurance and delivery confirmation fees.

EXCEPTIONS / NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as all the fresh food ). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

SUBSTITUTION POLICY

The French Market reserves the right to substitute an item with another item of equal or greater value than the original. This applies to items within hampers, gift boxes and bespoke selections.

In these circumstances, we will make every effort to ensure that the style and quality of the substitution is as similar to the original item as much as possible.

We may also select a replacement item if we believe it is in keeping with a particular theme of one of our selection boxes.

In instances where we believe we must make a substitution; we will make every effort to notify you of this ahead of time. Where this is not possible, we will enclose a note of explanation in your order.
