ABOUT THE VINE & CELLAR
The grapes are harvested on clay-limestone south-facing slopes and are then pressed before a skin contact maceration occurs during the fermentation to extracts more aromatics at a low-controlled temperature. The wine is then aged on less for 4 months in stainless steel tanks before being bottled.
ABOUT DANIEL & NICOLAS ROUX
Nicolas Roux learned his craft from his father, Daniel, who in turn was taught by his father, Raymond. Raymond instilled real passion into the boys and a deep love of the land. The Roux’s principle is to make wine in the image of its terroir – a true Bordeaux. They own Chateau de Basset in Bordeaux and aim to produce wines with style, identity and respect for their environment.
